Celebriti Bollywood actor Amisha Patel's absence from a charity dance
show where Amisha was scheduled to perform, hundreds of spectators
went on a rampage at the venue of the function in an indoor stadium
here, police said on Sunday. A huse number of people had thronged at
the venue on Saturday night for the well-publicised programme and had
also paid huge amount for the tickets to watch Patel and other TV stars
perform, they said. After they came to know that Patel had not turned up,
people beganhurling abuses at the organiser and also ransacked the premises,
they said. However, no one was injured in the incident, but the state-of-the art
stadium was badly damaged, police said. The irate crowd also demanded a
refund from the organiser.
